Liane is a social sustainability and urban regeneration specialist.  

 

Her work focuses on using design, construction, development and the operation of  infrastructure and urban environments to make life better for people  and communities.

About Liane

Liane is an urban planner by profession. She has worked as a consultant and writer on the broad area of urban sustainability for over twenty years and is founder of several innovative organisations. She is a recognised thought leader in creating socially sustainable and inclusive cities and is a powerful advocate for growing women’s leadership in the built environment sector.

 

She has worked  on projects spanning across both the public and private sector. All of her work involves using planning, development, design, and procurement processes to generate more socially responsible outcomes for stakeholders. Liane combines her personal interest in infrastructure and cities, with her professional skills in strategy, policy, engagement, and writing.


Liane is a regular speaker and chair at conferences and panels. She has contributed numerous articles and expert opinion to a diverse range of publications, including: The Guardian, The RSA, Financial Times, Planning Magazine, Urban Design Journal, Building Magazine, Architects Journal, Construction News, and Civil Engineering Surveyor.



She is a Government High Street Task Force Expert and a member of the Mayor of London's Infrastructure Advisory Panel.
